A Trip to Charleston
We at Tekkima love to travel, especially when it comes to visiting friends and like-minded
associates. That’s why we ventured down to Charleston, South Carolina to photograph some of
our new warm weather rain jackets for spring/summer 2017.
If you haven’t been to Charleston, put it on the must-do list. It has a distinct vibe that draws
from its roots as a center of the gentile Old South. We met up with a small team of friends and
creators who live in the city and know the best places to visit.
The first thing you notice about Charleston is the architecture. Distinct and well preserved, it’s
best appreciated by walking the Charleston’s intimate streets and alleys. It provided a perfect
backdrop to photograph and video some prime images of our Glide packable rain jacket.
Take a stroll down King Street to experience how vibrant the city is. Visit a variety of interesting
shops and stop in for a coffee or grab a meal. Pictured here are our guys enjoying mid-day
refreshments while wearing our Cruise rain slickers which are waterproof and great on cool
mornings yet loose fitting to allow air flow when the day warms.
No visit is complete without spending some time down at The Battery. Located at the juncture of
the Ashley and Cooper Rivers which form Charleston Harbor, it’s a beautiful park with mature
live oaks that shade your walk. We were there when the azealas were in full bloom.
The park was also a great backdrop to photograph our Voyager waterproof rain shell and
Ramber waterproof bomber jacket. The Voyager is made with a soft 3-layer fabric with
waterproof zippers with heat welded tape, and attached adjustable hood.
Our Rambler jacket constructed with a unique polyester memory fabric. It'll stretch but not
loose it's shape which allows for mobility in a fitted jacket. Lightweight and perfect for spring
through fall on a stroll along the Battery embankment.
Check out Charleston. You'll have a great time. We did!
